We collect information you provide directly, including your name, email, and profile details (bio, genre, artist name, profile and banner images). If you're an artist, this also includes the content you upload - music, artwork, and short-form video clips - and, when required for payout verification, a government-issued ID, a selfie, a proof-of-address document, and your bank account details.
We also collect information generated by your activity on the Platform, such as which artists you follow, purchases and support you make, reviews you leave, and reports you submit or that are submitted about your content. In addition, we automatically collect usage data, device information, and IP address.
We use your information to provide and operate the Platform, process payments and payouts, verify your identity and help prevent impersonation or fraud, review content reports, personalize what you see (such as your Discover feed), send you account and transaction emails (such as purchase confirmations, verification decisions, and payout status), improve the Platform, and communicate with you about your account.
We work with trusted third-party providers to help run authentication, secure data storage, content hosting, and payment processing. These providers only receive the information needed to perform their function and are bound by their own privacy and security obligations.
If you report a piece of content, or content you've uploaded is reported by someone else, we keep a record of the report - including the reason given, any details provided, and the reporter's email if they chose to share it - along with any decision made as a result, such as a temporary removal or a dispute submitted in response. This helps us apply moderation decisions consistently and respond fairly if a decision is challenged.
We retain personal data for as long as necessary to provide the Platform and to comply with applicable legal, tax, and accounting obligations, in line with applicable data protection laws including Nigeria's Data Protection Act.
You have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal data. Some information, such as identity verification documents, transaction records, and payout history, may need to be retained for a period even after a deletion request in order to meet the legal, tax, and accounting obligations described above.
